Introduction

Black/White Street Photography has always been an important part of my photography. I started in the 1960s strongly inspired by the great photographers of the time, both international and Danish. Like so many others, I have always been very inspired by Henri Cartier Bresson (1908-2004). His work with “The Decisive Moment” and “The Camera as an Extension of the Eye”. I have often returned to his pictures.

Walking around in a city and capturing the atmosphere with my camera has always fascinated me. I have never been able to get enough of humans’ relationship to urban space and to other people. Telling the story of a place through life on the spot.
